It is why a looping meditation track only gets you so far. The body knows the difference between something alive and something mechanical. That gap is where Byotōne works: the science of frequency, the art of the deep shift.
Sound as living material
Your mind does not run on one channel, so a sound bath should not either.
Most functional audio parks you on a single Alpha or Theta tone and leaves you there. We treat a brainwave state as a route, not a destination. A session moves you across the spectrum and sets you down where the body needs to be, using three techniques at once.
You do not just hear the music, your whole brain travels with it.
The techniques
- Live modular synthesis
Analog harmonics, digital precision, performed in real time on a custom-patched system. Every tone, wave and spatial sweep exists because someone shaped it that second. The soundscape never repeats itself, so attention stays engaged without tiring. - Neural phase-locking
True brainwave entrainment needs movement, so a fixed tone will not do it. We weave binaural, monaural beats and isochronic tones inside rich harmonic compositions. The brain follows layered music far more closely than a bare tone. That is what moves you from one state to the next. - Cellular resonance
A somatic massage made of sound. Sub-bass frequencies, sculpted live, send slow kinetic vibration through the body. Listening turns into touch and physical tension lets go from the inside out. - Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs)
The other three send sound into you, this one comes back out. Outer hair cells in your cochlea vibrate and amplify, sometimes releasing a faint tone of their own. Mechanical, not neurological: the ear answering.
Each of these states has its own benefit. Delta, the slowest, is where deep sleep, healing and stress relief live. Theta opens deep meditation, intuition and creativity. Alpha settles the body into relaxed focus: calm, flow and easier learning. Beta keeps you alert, analytical and quick to decide. Gamma, the fastest, sharpens perception, memory and learning to their peak. A session does not park you in one of them, it walks you to the one your body is asking for.

Letting go takes trust, so the first thing we build is not the music. It is the environment around it: a system designed to hold you while you listen. Quadraphonic arrays, sub-bass transducers, headphones when the setting calls for them. Tools chosen for what the space and the body need.
Arranged that way, they recreate psychoacoustic effects that turn any room into a resonance chamber. The place does not need to be built for this. We bring the environment with us and abstract the architecture away, so a courtyard, a studio or a hotel suite can hold the same depth of listening.
None of this is a playlist. Every session is composed and performed in the moment, hands on hardware, responding to the room and the people inside it. What you hear exists once.

Acoustic theory is worthless if nothing shifts in the body. So every environment runs through closed-loop testing first: private beta sessions in quadraphonic with THE WORK agency and a small cohort of wellness practitioners and early adopters.
We watch bodies respond in real time, fine-tune the spatial panning, calibrate the frequency phasing and keep only what the body confirms. Out of the endless space of possible music, what survives is sound that reliably moves a body from overload into calm.
